We all know that weddings, christenings and sadly funerals bring a lot of people together. We've all been there and said 'oh we only get to see you at these kind of occasions'.
What I have noticed happening, is that these types of occasions bring all the generations together too. Which is lovely. As a fly on the wall, I get to see and observe little snippets of peoples lives and I also get to see in a lot more detail, than what 'you' or 'I' see when you're in that family moment.
It's my job and also my pleasure to capture these moments that flit by without us realising it. Over the years I have shot many a birthday, christening and wedding. I've also noticed that a few of my images have been used from them occasions. Which has captured a moment. If I'm being honest (as it's my job and pleasure) I just knew that moment I did capture is going to be one, they're going to treasure and hang onto for life. Even if they didn't quite know it just yet.
Last weekend I photographed another christening. This one was a baby naming service. Which I've noticed is becoming quite the norm from baptisms lately. The service took place at a beautiful church in Monton
I'd often driven passed and thought. Oh I haven't shot a wedding in that one YET. Well I finally got to do a service in there. The minister was such a lovely lady! So down to earth and I for one, felt such warmth from her.
